When it comes to the cut of your jeans, we suggest wearing a slim fit for most men. Slim fit jeans have balanced proportions. They hug your thighs without being constricting, and they taper down your leg to give you a slimmer look.

How to dress up men’s jeans: color coordination
The color of your jeans should match the occasion. For example, dark-wash jeans are more formal and should be worn to places that are business casual attire at the least. On the other hand, lighter wash jeans are typically less formal and should be worn to casual occasions. These insights regarding color should help you narrow down your choices, as this is the first step to color coordination.
In general, we recommend coordinating jeans with neutral colors. But rules are meant to be broken, so we don’t expect you to follow these rules to a tee. There isn’t a wrong approach to color coordinating off of your choice in jeans, but we do recommend you follow a system. For example, if you base your system off of the color, then when you wear blue jeans (any shade), you’ll know you can wear white, tan, grey, etc. And if you decide to wear a dark shade of blue, like indigo jeans for example, you can add an extra layer of complexity to your decision making process.
